- "Peggy is the Jon Stewart of
fairytales, the Stephen Colbert of the fantastic. Her
fantasies are far more telling than the evening
news. Wireman has found the map out of
Bushland." - John
Nichols
Alice suddenly found herself falling, falling... into a
deep hole. She swung onto a hanging chad... And found
herself in BUSHLAND!
There she met a number of strange creatures who explained
about life in BUSHLAND.
The first creature who appeared looked like a large round
egg. His name was Humpty Dumpty Rove.
Humpty Dumpty Rove: "I'm one of King Bush's spin
doctors. I make sure King Bush can use words anyway he wants
to. They mean anything he wants. He can even make them mean
things in retrospect."

"Alice in Bushland is an
imaginative and critical take on the Bush White
House. Peggy Wireman's playful humor
underscores disturbing facts about the
Bush Administration's handling of everything
from Enron to Iraq. Alarming and
entertaining at the same time." - Congresswoman Tammy
Baldwin (D-WI)
Alice also meets Compassionate King Bush, March Hare
Cheney, Mad Hatter Rumsfeld, the Cheshire Cat, Red Queen
Bush and other characters. The fantasies are followed by
fact sheets detailing what Alice Didn't Know about the Bush
Administration's positions on the environment, the deficit,
the Patriot Act and the war in Iraq. Useful for lightening
up after listening to the news and for talking to those
still undecided.
